Opening Up

Thank you so much for joining me! My name is Emily. I’m a 24 year old ex-heroin addict who grew up in a teeny, tiny rural town in western Pennsylvania. I have traveled thousands of miles in search of solid ground, and for the first time I seem to have found it – right here in sunny LA. Mine is a story of self-destruction, devastation, discovery, and redemption; always served with a side order of sarcasm. It is my hope that something I say may resonate with someone else, so her journey does not feel so lonely. It is an even greater hope that I can help young women (and men) navigate through a life of self-sabotage, and safely guide them to a better, more peaceful existence.
Disclaimer: this blog is my first attempt at organizing my story and sharing it with others. So this may be a slow process (with a detour or two), but I’m so happy to have you along for the ride.
